Leigh Anne:
Let’s do that to raise money ourselves!
13. QFHSA updates/other (Brian):
This morning’s news-from APEL , bill 40 – amends 85 pieces of legislation – there will be regional town hall meetings for this bill. They have asked regional council for home and school to help organize these meetings…for bill 40. This bill, talks about change in structures-election in 2020, there will be a structured change, 8 to 14 parent representatives, 4 community representatives [1 must be expert, 1 must be expert in business, 1 expert in health and social services (or sports expert), 1 between 18 and 35 years old].
One big change- there will be one community rep as of Nov 2020, that will be the person from south hull who communicates to the four members in the service center.
Governing board next week-suggestion for them to find someone between 18 and 35, and someone who’s kids have already graduated from the system. Those would be good representatives…as of November next year they may have to.
14. Round Table
Celine:
Request for funding-new technician for 1st nations children (new hire), will need funds to purchase materials – Ahmed will check from last year, will pass $300 (all agreed) for now and approve technician needs more.
Celine:
